Lord of The Dance Departs For Historic Taiwan Tour

The iconic Irish dance show created by Michael Flatley returns to stages with the Feet of Flames production

Dancers from all over this word departed for an historic Lord of the Dance tour to Taiwan this morning.

The iconic Irish dance show created by Michael Flatley returns to stages with the Feet of Flames production, and will feature more than 90 dancers, after the European tour was brought to a halt earlier this year.

It will be the first Irish dance show to return to stages since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and requires every dancer and crew member to quarantine on arrival two weeks prior to rehearsals and performances.

The show has scheduled eight performances in five different cities across Taiwan from December 11 to 16, including Taichung, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Changhua City and Hualien City.

A post on their social media accounts this morning read: “From all over the world, we travel. / In Taiwan, we gather.

No one else is touring right now. We are the only #IrishDance show in history to have to quarantine for two weeks prior to performance.”

It adds: “This is LordOfTheDance. The billion-dollar dance show. And a stadium tour awaits. Planet Ireland lives once again.”
