Justin Boros, former lead dancer in Michael Flatley’s Lord Of The Dance and hit show producer, has announced his return to the stage in his new holiday sensation, We Three Kings, The Irish Dance Christmas Spectacular, that he will produce and star in.

Many people are familiar with the film Billy Elliott and the boy who followed his dream to become a professional dancer when exposed to ballet. Justin Boros is the real-life version of Billy Elliot in the Irish dance world. Justin was a star basketball player on his state championship high school basketball team at the age of 15 in Akron, Ohio, when he saw a performance of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance air on PBS.

At that moment, his life forever changed. Mesmerised by what he saw, he bought himself a pair of Irish dance hard shoes and began teaching himself to Irish dance from the VHS tapes of Lord of the Dance. Having no prior dance experience, Justin spent nearly every night until four in the morning in his parent’s basement practising Irish dancing and learning every step from Lord Of The Dance. A year and a half later, Justin put together an audition tape and flew to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, for a family vacation where Lord Of The Dance was performing at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot Center.

Between performances, he gave the audition tape to the troupe manager to review, and was told it would be months before he would hear back. The next day Justin was contacted and asked to audition that evening when the park was closed on the very stage the troupe was performing. Following his audition, he achieved the impossible, and his dream came true. He was offered a 26-page contract to join the world’s largest touring production, Michael Flatley’s Lord Of The Dance. Justin became an Irish dance prodigy overnight as only one of three Americans in Lord Of The Dance worldwide. During his time in Lord Of The Dance, Justin went on to play a lead role and toured Canada, North America, Mexico, and South America. His dream did not stop there.

“I discovered my passion and gift at the young age of 15. It is my duty and responsibility to share this gift with others to inspire and bring more joy into the world. There is no better time of year to do this than the Christmas season, and I could not be more excited or grateful to share ‘We Three Kings’ with you”

While touring with Lord Of The Dance, Justin became inspired with a new vision to pursue. Creating his own production that would reimagine Irish dance and inspire audiences across the country. Justin put together a production team and began working on the proof of concept for a new, innovative show, that later toured the US and set records at theatres across the country. He envisioned a character on stage that had the physique of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson without needing the costuming for enhancement, while also remaining light on their feet. Something the Irish dance world has not seen, nor audiences experienced in any prior production.

Justin went on to weight train for several years and achieved a weight of 270 lbs to be the first bodybuilder professional Irish dancer. Justin made his debut as the lead dancer and villain at the Paramount Theater in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 2014. The show received rave reviews night after night and continued to grow exponentially.

Following many years of touring, Justin stepped away from Irish dancing during the pandemic, as he was approached by producers and casting directors for the upcoming NBC television show, The Titan Games, created and produced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dany Garcia. The selection process included tens of thousands of applicants over a six-month application period to be selected for the upcoming combine taking place in Los Angeles, California. Justin was presented by the casting director to the President of NBC amongst the other finalists. Inspired by Justin’s story with Irish dance, he was selected among the thousands of applicants to join The Titan Games cast and was flown out to Los Angeles, California, for filming and production.

Following his experience with The Titan Games, in 2021 Justin was again selected for the debut of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dany Garcia’s premiere of their new professional Spring football league, the XFL, for the Player Showcase at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. While accomplishing these incredible achievements, Justin was continuously drawn back to his passion to share his gift with the world, Irish dance.

“My collaboration with Justin on ‘We Three Kings’ has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my composing career. I’ve taken great care to create modern, cinematic interpretations of classic Christmas melodies, as well as write original dramatic scores to create an innovative and exciting holiday experience I hope you enjoy. Music and dance are meant to be together, and I can’t wait for you to witness them join forces in this magical new Christmas production”
