The Great Britain Championships, hosted by the Southern England Regional Council, is one of the prestigious international ‘Majors’ in the Irish dancing calendar.
This event draws participants from all over the world to compete for the titles, including those looking to secure an Irish Dancing grand slam.

When is it?
The Great Britain Championships take place from 17-20 October, 2024.
Where is it taking place?
The Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Centre, South Kensington, London.
Can I get there on public transport?
The nearest tube station to the venue is Gloucester Road on the Piccadilly line, which is just a minute walk away. South Kensington station and Earls Court station are also just a five minute walk away.
Are there hotel rooms available?
You can use this form to request a room at the event rate at the Millennium Gloucester. There are also plenty of nearby hotels in the central London location.
How to enter
This year’s entry platform is go.Feis. The initial entry deadline was July 31, but according to organisers entries are now reopened until September 16, though late fees will apply.
Competitions
This year’s solo competitions include all categories found in the World Championships, in addition to U10 boys and girls, U9 boys and girls, U8 boys and girls, U7 mixed, U6 mixed, andU5 mixed (known as Tiny Tot Superstars).
Preliminary Championships are included in the competitions with separate results. This year’s championships also include multiple ceili, figure, and dance drama categories. Notably, the Micheal Flatley Freestyle competition has not been announced as part of the syllabus this year.
