Talisk

Known for their electrifying performances and intricate musical style, the Scottish band have become a staple in the contemporary trad scene. Their latest single ‘Maverick’, released in January 2024, showcases their signature blend of Scottish folk music with a modern twist. With a significant social media following, Talisk continue to captivate audiences worldwide with their dynamic energy and innovative sound. Want to see them live? The Mary Wallopers

This vibrant band from Dundalk has been making waves with infectious energy and storytelling prowess. Their latest EP, Home Boys Home, released in June 2024, has gained widespread acclaim. Known for their original songs and renditions of fan-favourite ballads, they graced the main stage this year at Ireland’s largest festival, Electric Picnic. Next year, they will be touring the UK in March 2025.

Lankum 

Hailing from Dublin, Lankum have carved out a unique space in the trad scene with their powerful mix of traditional ballads and original compositions. Originally formed in the early 2000s, their haunting harmonies and rich instrumental work have seen them rise to prominence once again in recent years. Project Smok 

This neo-trad trio is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional music and blending it with modern influences. Their latest album, The Outset, released at the beginning of 2024, exemplifies their unique style. Taking inspiration from bands like The 1975 and Bon Iver, Project Smok’s sound is both familiar and refreshingly new. Project Smok will be touring throughout the UK this November 2024.

Mànran

A powerhouse in the Scottish music scene, Mànran are renowned for their captivating blend of English and Scots Gaelic songs. Their new single ‘Standing Still’, released in September 2024, continues to showcase their signature sound, combining traditional elements with a contemporary flair. The Scratch

Comprised of four mates from the same town in Dublin, The Scratch have gained popularity since they entered the scene in 2016. This Irish trad, metal and progressive rock band has been selling out gigs in recent years, and throughout 2024 toured extensively in the US, Canada, Europe, UK, and Ireland.
